The training started promptly at 9 am with reflection from chairman Arab Region. This was followed by an ice breaker to get to know each other. Participants talked about their personal expectations as well as expectation on the national and regional level.
The aim and objectives of the training were presented. this was followed by an explanation of the programme as a whole and participant decided on code of behavior.Essia presented ways of work of WAGGGS and Arab Region highlighting the 3 WAGGGS goals and what was achieved so far in each goal on the regional level.
The first session on strategic leadership was presented by Nadine who explained the different levels of leadership and how strategic leadership can be used by MOs and the region.
The group was then divided into two: chief and international commissioners looked at self development starting by looking at their life line, then worked on a SWOT analyses and looked at how to change weaknesses to strength.
On the other side young leaders looked at what self esteem is and through questionnaire, they were able to think about their personal growth and to better understand what self esteem is and how to stand up for themselves.

You will become what you expect to become, the choice is yours.
Increase yourself-expectation.. you can be/do/create more.

The day ended with the official opening ceremony at the Doha secondary school for girls. Mrs. Mona Ben Salem Elgardania deputy Minister of Education for Educational Programme was the main guest.

The opening was attended by high profile people and representatives from several Arab embassies. speeches from the responsible for guides at the scouts and guides of Oman, chairman Arab Region was given and that was followed by dances and songs from different guides branches.
