Countdown to centenary celebrations

10 April 2009

With only a year to go before we launch the first of three Centenary Celebration Days we are sure you are busy planning activities around the theme of Plant. Remember that you should include the following four elements in your activities: 100, Good deed, International and Party. A centenary celebration day activity pack will be available for download in May.

You can find some inspiration by reading some of the amazing stories from our members about how Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting have changed their lives.

You can also watch the first ever filmed message to members from the WAGGGS’ World Board Chairman, Margaret Treloar. The text version is available to download from this page.

Help set the agenda

Plans are taking shape for the first ever Young Women’s World Forum which takes place in the UK in 2010. Participants from all over the world will focus on the UN Millennium Development Goals. We want you to help set the agenda for the event by taking part in a virtual survey which is now available online.

Tell us about it!

Don’t forget to share with others what you are doing! You can use the space provided below or you can send us your stories and photos by email (charlotte@wagggsworld.org).
