The Arab Region organized a leadership training to address needs of organizational as well as individual level. In an attempt to promote partnership, and to provide opportunities for leaders to develop international leadership skills and experiences, the Arab Region has extended the invitation to French speaking countries in the Africa, Europe and Western Hemisphere regions.

The event took place from 3 to 9 July in Bethania training centre in Harissa, Beirut, Lebanon.

The Objectives are:

  1. To enhance personal leadership development
  2. Give the opportunity to leaders to learn, share and exchange ideas on leadership approaches.
  3. Give the opportunity to leaders to learn, share and exchange new educational approaches to learning.
  4. Strengthening Member Organizations and building capacity.
  5. Broaden international understanding and embrace diversity.
  6. To promote WAGGGS intercultural learning and experience the value of working in a diverse environment.
  7. To develop opportunities for partnerships and networking between Associations.
  8. To support and facilitate participants in the creation of action plan and prepare them to take action in their world.
The seminar was organized by an international planning team from the different regions involved. In order to ensure the greatest intercultural exchange possible and a high-quality training, a restricted number of places for participants from different Regions of WAGGGS.
