Educate!
You can:
- educate and influence your own members, opinion formers and people in government about adolescent health issues - ask for a meeting, invite them to visit projects centred on adolescent health and offer them positive media coverage opportunities
- educate girls, young women and society at large about nutrition, adolescent pregnancy, HIV and AIDS by organizing seminars for teachers and health workers and running projects on health for members and the community
- use the resources available; more practical advocacy guidelines will be available on the website shortly
- use projects to support your advocacy work
- distribute the survey results and position statements to explain what girls worldwide say about adolescent health, adolescent pregnancy, and HIV and AIDS
- show the public what Girl Guides and Girl Scouts are doing to help build a better world through the media
- distribute leaflets and posters to members and to the public
