Joint Asia Pacific-Arab Regional Training of Trainers Workshop

TOTThe first ever joint event between the Asia Pacific Region and the Arab Region is now taking place in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

The Workshop brings together 100 participants from 32 countries from North Africa, the Middle East and the entire Asia Pacific Region. With the theme “T=C3” (Trainers = Create, Challenge, Change), the Workshop aims to explore innovative training methodologies and ideas to address needs of the changing environment and ensure effective delivery of the Girl Guiding / Girl Scouting programme to our members.

Nadine El Achy, Chairman of the World Board of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) said:

Through the partnership between the Asia Pacific Region and the Arab Region, we are taking a bigger message out to our Member Organizations and young leaders.  In this new century we have to come to terms with the fact that we all live on a very small spaceship, we are all interlocked…Partnership is the key, it opens up wonderful dialogue, creates excitement and raises awareness, as well as challenging us to become more actively engaged in changing our own realities and ways of thinking and acting.

We will be providing daily updates in this page starting from 28 November 2011, so please stay tune!
